ARCHIVIST NOTESSpecialized Armadillidiidae descended from ancient Himalayan crustaceans were used by Cobra La legions to attack enemies, disrupt cavalry, and guard encampments. Armored with spiked exoskeletons or ‘hy-mail’, these massive, ferocious Pillbugs were considered essential to the ranks of the Royal Guard. Loyal "living weapons" by design, they also made for affectionate companions to the warriors they were paired with.
The Web of Remembrance speaks highly of their incredible bravery and loyalty, with some passages describing them as "braver than lions and more faithful than men”.
