PHOTOGRAPHER’S LOG:

I don’t know what was more painful, Big Boa’s superhuman training sessions...or being assigned to document one of them. I remember this one better than most shoots; he cleared out that gym like he owned the place. No Cobra snakelings dared to occupy any equipment while he was ripping through his routine, so he had the place entirely to himself. For hours. (Helmet stayed on the whole time.)

Felt like an eternity. As soon as he finally wrapped, I swear he turned around an went right back in there for round two.

I sure as hell did NOT.

Paul Panfalone is a Cleveland, OH based artist and toy photographer. He spent his childhood dreaming up stories using action figures in the backyard of his home in East Aurora, NY, appropriately nicknamed “Toytown”. Now as an adult (sort of), he imagines new worlds with those same figures and lives their adventures through the lens of his camera, much like he did back home, over thirty years ago.
