PHOTOGRAPHER’S LOG:

Through the lens, it looked rehearsed. Good cop, bad ninja commando. The officer tried keeping his focus on Dusty, who rattled off pointed questions...but he kept squinting from the glare off the blade resting against his throat.

He glanced toward the camera a couple of times, like he knew these frames would outlast him. I set the shutter to burst mode and fired away.

I skedaddled immediately after this sequence. Didn't see what happened to him.

None of my business.

Paul Panfalone

Paul Panfalone is a Cleveland, OH based artist and toy photographer. He spent his childhood dreaming up stories using action figures in the backyard of his home in East Aurora, NY, appropriately nicknamed “Toytown”. Now as an adult (sort of), he imagines new worlds with those same figures and lives their adventures through the lens of his camera, much like he did back home, over thirty years ago.
