This one is the most impressive of the lot. There’s 2 copies here, a well-worn one and a pristine copy. Logged both then removed the staples from the lesser of the two and laid out all of its spreads in front of me – looking at them now, they read like someone else’s field notes. But still familiar to me.
Whoever held the camera back then knew just how to catch the poses, the angles, the attitude. Figures frozen mid-action in expertly constructed dioramas, all sold as play.
